Refund Policy
HOST School Refund Policy for International Students
(An International Student (IS) is a person who is not a Canadian Citizen or a landed immigrant or who has been determined under the Immigration Act to be a Convention Refugee)
When an IS enters into a contract with HOST School (HS), the following refund policy applies:
Visa Related Withdrawals:
- HS will retain the lesser of 25% of tuition or $200 for students:
A: who are denied Study Permit authorization from Canada Immigration and Citizenship (CIC), or
B: do not receive authorization prior to the start of the program of study.
Withdrawals before the Program Starts:
- A: If HS receives written notice of withdrawal more than 30 days before the program starts, HS will retain the lesser of 25% of tuition or $450.
B: if HS receives written notice of withdrawal less than 30 days before the program starts, HS will retain 40% of tuition.
Withdrawals after the Program Starts:
- A: If HS receives written notice of withdrawal within 10% of the program, HS will retain 50% of tuition.
B: If HS receives written notice of withdrawal within 30% of a program of study, HS may retain 70% of tuition.
C: If a student withdraws after 30% of the program, there is no refund.
I have read HOST School’s policies on admissions and refund policy.
Note: 1. HS is not recognized by Canadian Association of Private Language Schools (CAPLS) and is not bound by their policies.
2. Refunds usually take 30 days to process.
