I enjoyed my time at HOST School of English because the teachers were really interested in improving our skills. Not only were they concerned about our reading, writing, and listening, but also about our interpersonal and spiritual abilities. Therefore, we practiced our English inside the classrooms, and also outside during different activities like a talent-show, going out together for lunch, sports etc… The atmosphere at the school was very friendly and warmhearted.Together with my husband Daniel, I can really recommend it for anybody who is interested in improving his or her English!

After having tried several English private schools, I am glad to say that at HOST School of English I found at last what I was looking for: a professional tuition method imparted by kind and dedicated people. I had never been in an English speaking country before, and I hadn’t studied English for seven years, when I came to study ESL at HOST School. This school really helped me a lot to refresh and improve my English. The teachers are motivated and skilled. They taught us grammar, listening, talking and writing, so now I feel prepared for my work.

Hi, my name is Maja. Are you looking for a good ESL-TOEFLschool? For good teachers? If yes, then I want to present you my school. Actually it’s not my school? I’m not a teacher, not a manager. I just visited this school for 5 months. But this school is MY school now. This is "Host School". I learned a lot there. I started as a beginner and ended up in the intermediate – class. This "jump" was good! In the beginning I could not speak English and I understood just a little bit. But then, thanks to the teachers who helped me and to a lot of patience, and to God, who gave me skills to learn and to memorize, it happened! I began to understand English more and more and am finally able to speak it. I really appreciate this school and enjoyed my time there! As a student I also enjoyed the after-school program. The manager or teachers often organized something special for the students.

Things to Do
Toronto has six professional sports teams – hockey, baseball, basketball, football, soccer and lacrosse. It is also home to the Toronto Zoo, the Ontario Science Centre and the CN Tower.

Intensive English

Most of our students choose our Full-Time Intensive course of 20 hours/week – this is 4 full hours a day of classes, from Monday to Friday. Classes will be either in the morning or in the afternoon depending on your level of English and the classes you choose (see schedule below). Classes will either start at 8:30am or at 1:30pm.

We recommend our Full-Time Intensive Program for any long-term students (3 months or more) and for anyone wanting to take full advantage of their time in Canada to explore the cities. Students take a combination of Communication Skills and Specific Skills classes.
